#Prologue
Mineko was just a normal girl living a normal life, when she chanced to meet Helios, one of the 3 rulers of the Realms of Magic as he was being pursued by agents of the Realms of Shadow. Soon, Mineko found herself brought to the Realms themselves when it was found that she could help Helios push back the forces of attacking Darkross. When Helios was gravely wounded in the defence, Mineko bravely stepped up to sacrifice herself for him, only to be revived when Moragana, another Ruler, gave up her own life. However this act also transferred the power of the Pheonix into Mineko as well.

To fight the Shadow, Helios needs to gather more power. With his adopted brother Luna, Mineko, Louis, Spade and Club, he sets off to find several elements that he had lost 7 years before. Things seemed to be going well, with the element of fire swiftly obtained. But with an assault on the Realms imminent, Helios had to return immediately, leaving Mineko and Louis on Earth. This opened them to an attack by 3 mysterious Shadow Realms sorcerers, who managed to capture Mineko's childhood friend, Tooru. Things gotten worse when Helios returned badly injured.

Burning with the desire to save her friend, Mineko prepares to journey to the Realms of Magic when Helios stops her. Though she obeys, Mineko realizes that there is more to him than meets the eyes. An investigation reveals that 'Helios' is actually Luna masquerading as his brother to protect Mineko, as Helios stayed behind in the Realms of Magic to fight the Shadow Realm's forces. Unfortunately, agents of the victorious ShadowRealm attack them, forcing Luna to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to fulfill his duty.

With Luna's passing, Mineko resolves to travel to the Realms of Magic, where she plans to finally lay Luna's soul to rest in peace, as well as learn about the newly acquired Element of Earth. Getting herself lost in the Illusive forest, Mineko meets up with Melly and Mika, Helios's familiar, Spade's wife and child respectively. They prove to be guides in more ways than one, bringing about a new independent spirit in Mineko as they direct her to the Valley of Earth. At the same time, Helios escapes a Shadow Realm's prison with the help of the mysterious Eddy. As Mineko travels to the Valley of Earth, and Helios to the Valley of Fire, they find themselves in frightening situations- after a disturbing dream, Mineko awakes one morning ten years older than she was, and Helios finds himself at the mercy of the Queen of Fire. And all that isn't counting the Shadow Realm attack on Earth.
