The Hunger Games is a novel by Suzanne Collins. The Hunger Games is a visual of the future situation, where the rich keeps getting richer and the poor gets poorer. The state is called Panem which is run by the Capitol and their president, President Snow. Its divided into 13 districts but the 13th district is destroyed by the government. Well, they thought they destroyed it. Each year, there will be two tributes from each district, a boy and a girl from any age, to enter a game of death called, The Hunger Games. On the 74th Hunger Games, Primrose Everdeen from district 12 was called at the reaping to play the games; but her older sister, Katniss Everdeen, volunteered herself to save her sister. The Games is held at the Capitol where 2 tributes from 12 districts will meet up. Each tribute is needed to kill the other tributes in the arena until there is left only one tribute. That tribute will be announced as the winner, also known as 'victor'. However, Katniss made a little twist where she and Peeta, the male tribute from her district which also had a crush on her after he gave burnt bread at her when she was dying at the age of 10, refuses to kill each other as the other tributes were all deceased. In the end, they both threatened the Capitol to eat poisonous berries so that there won't be any tribute left standing. President Snow had to end the Games there and let Katniss and Peeta win. They were both announced as victors and Katniss was known to be the 'Girl on Fire'. Ever since the 74th Hunger Games, every district had planned on a revolution to fight against the Capitol, or more precisely, President Snow. The Peacekeeper came to the districts and released bombs, shot people and more. It's all because President Snow wanted every rebel to be killed. The people of Panem counted on Katniss to lead the revolution based on her bravery.
